We are a 24/7 family business here to respond to the needs of the community.
We will provide the opportunity to celebrate the life of your family member according
to the religious beliefs and the traditions of your family. Arrangements will be made for
the services selected according to the personal wishes of each family. Arrangements offered include funerals with visitation, memorials services, cremation, anatomical donations,
and alternative funeral services. We offer preplanning and are able to help with
Medicaid eligibility. There is NO fee for prearrangement consultation and there
will NEVER be any pressure or obligation.
With today’s families spread out around the world, should a death occur away
from home, we are able to relieve the family of the worry and responsibility by
arranging for the transportation both nationally and internationally. The service
provided by the O’Brien\Sullivan Funeral Home continues after the funeral. Assistance is available to help with insurance claims, Social Security and Veterans benefits,
pension funds, public speaking services and monuments and headstones. We also
offer an aftercare program for anyone in the community that has suffered a lost.
It is your right, and our desire, that you have as complete an understanding
as possible regarding our services. We invite you to discuss freely and frankly,
with us, questions you may have about any and all aspects of the funeral. We feel
we can serve you best when such a service is based on a mutual understanding between us and
those families we serve. This understanding should prevail during the arrangements
for the funeral and until all the needs and desires of the family have been
fulfilled.
A licensed director of the O’Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home is willing to answer
any questions you may have. Please contact us for a free General Price List, Casket
Price List, or Burial Vault Price List.
Aftercare/Bereavement Support
Aftercare
is a vital dimension of our service. We realize that grieving is a process that
takes time and effort. In order to help families understand the grieving process, and the journey through it, we have a bereavement facilitator on staff, Dr. Michael Meyer, D. Min.
Dr. Meyer has served the families of the O’Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home since 1987 as a Bereavement Specialist. Dr. Meyer received his doctorate in ministry to those in grief from the Ecumenical Theological Seminary of Detroit in 1987.
Dr. Meyer provides monthly meetings, individual sessions, and the Annual Memorial
Program held each December. The monthly meetings are held the third Tuesday of
each month from 7:30pm until 9:00pm at the Novi Civic Center 41575 W. Ten Mile
between the Novi Police Department and the Novi Library. For individual sessions
call 1-248-348-1800 or email Dr. Meyer at meyermichaelm@sbcglobal.net.
These services are available to the community.
